Background: In 2009, my day job was running a music school company called SeraSchools, which truth be told, I actually don't have a musical bone in my entire body!  Having initially earned both a B.A. and M.A. in Counseling Psychology, the entrepreneur bug bit me and even though my path has veered from my schooling, the commitment and desire to create unique innovative products that save people time, money, and resources has only grown. We have a passion to bring construction technology into the 21st century. I have also personally served as Lada Cube's primary funding source from the inception and have driven the inspiration and invention process when the company was just an idea from God and a business plan. Contact me and I'd love to tell you more about the God part!

As you may or may not know, the initial products of Lada Cube are a high performance demountable wall called the Lada Cube Wall as well as demountable surface finishes called Lada Skins (all products are 100% relocatable). However, some readers may not be aware of the fact that our long term plan is to build a wide range of demountable products, including affordably priced exterior structural walls (prefab) and a demountable tent marketing structure (think EZ-Up but much stronger, cooler, & better functioning) called the Lada Event Cube. This is because the overarching purpose of Lada Cube (and the reason I started the company) is to help expedite the move from a harvest and build economy towards a dynamic economy containing quality reusable products, which I believe to be the primary, but not exclusive, sustainable long-term solution.

Critical to making this happen was making a wall without compromises, which is why the Lada Cube Wall is designed to outperform traditional walls in practically every way. Our vision was that Lada Cube Walls would look, feel, and function the same or better than traditional walls. Over and above these performance goals, our walls have twice the energy efficiency of traditional walls and greatly increased STC (Sound Transmission Class) Ratings.

Almost any new technology initially has high unit costs before it can be optimized and this is no less true for demountable walls. The strategy of Lada Cube is to enter moderately above the high end of the middle of the market's price point, where customers who realize the long term benefits are prepared to pay for this new technology, and then drive down market as fast as possible to higher unit volume and lower prices over time. Keep in mind though, Lada Cube Walls are a long-term sustainable asset and not a short-term liability.

In keeping with continually improving our products, we are pouring cash flow back into R&D with the goals of driving down weights, costs, and increasing the ease of use. Our overall goal is getting quality products to market as fast as possible. When someone buys a Lada Cube Wall, they are actually helping pay for development of this sustainable change making the transition from a poorly sustainable model to an environmentally sustainable model that works.

Now I’d like to address two repeated arguments against demountable walls — poor quality and poor design.

Walls that are tasteful!
Typically when someone says a wall is modular, this conjures up images of flimsy, dull, and cheap removable walls made of aluminum, fabrics, or plastics. When Lada Cube was started in 2013, we decided early on that we had zero room for compromise, meaning that if we couldn't build a wall that looked, felt, and reacted like a traditional wall, our mission was pointless. I'm proud to say that we've found great success! The Lada Cube Wall is one of the most outstanding engineered walls both aesthetically, functionally, and structurally. By comparison, there is not a Modular wall on the market that even comes close.

Becoming Energy Positive
Given that Lada Cube Walls are not only reusable but also recyclable, I should mention that Lada Cube has a long-term goal of integrating co-marketing sustainable energy products from other companies for integration into our demountable structures. For example, among other choices, we are working to offer solar panel options for roof installations in order to generate energy positive units. If you're a company that produces these products, please contact us!

So, in short, the master plan is:

  1. Build Demountable Walls that fundamentally transform how we use and build spaces
  2. Build attractive demountable finishes for these walls
  3. Build an attractive and useful Tent Marketing Structure
  4. While doing all of the above, work towards co-marketing/ sustainable features/options

Please tell everyone.
